Larry grew up on seven-sections of irrigated farm land near Hart in the Texas Panhandle. He graduated from Texas Tech Universtiy with a B.S. in Animal Science. Prior to starting Down On The Farm Radio, Larry managed a corporate farm, was an extension agent for Texas A&M and worked for three major feed manufacturers traveling all over South & Central Texas.

Never straying from his production ag roots, Larry and his wife Claire are still involved in agriculture through interests in stocker cattle, vegetable production and Deer Management.

Larry and his wife live near Boerne.
