Patrick, Brittany Mahomes welcome daughter Golden Raye to family

Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany have a new rookie on their team.
The couple welcomed their third child on Sunday, a daughter, Golden Raye, The Associated Press reported.
Golden now joins big sister Sterling, 3, and brother, Patrick — who is named after his father and grandfather — is also known as “Bronze,” 2, E! News reported.
Brittany Mahomes said they came up with the precious metal names starting with her dog Steel whom she got in college. The second dog was going to be called Sterling but decided that would be better for her future daughter, so she decided on Silver. The pups started the trend.
“I always wanted to have kids young,” Mahomes said last year. “I got to grow up in the locker room. I mean, I’ve talked about it before, and it made such an impact in my life. And so I wanted to have kids young, and we’re having our third kid now to join the family.”
His father, Patrick Mahomes Sr. was a MLB pitcher for 11 years.
The MVP quarterback and “Sports Illustrated” model were married in 2022 after being high school sweethearts, E! News reported.
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are looking for his third Super Bowl win in a row. They play Saturday against the Houston Texans for the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, CNN reported.
